impossible to add movies! seems only to add movies with the iPad/iPhone app and then to sync. so it is a simple viewer on the Mac!?! no technical support either!

Come on Guys you can do better! Importing the export-file from the iPhone-App iMovie Collect Pro v4.0 doesnt work correct with Movies v1.0. If you analyse the export-file, there are missing fields or they are named differently!

Without this bug it would be 5 stars!

A warning: if you have the iCollect iPhone Movies app, you CANNOT import its database into this app. The developer, for some insane rreason, changed the format of the iPhone apps database; because of this, the two apps are incompatible. And for another unknown reason, you cannot sync this app to the database on the iCollect website. In otherword, the app is pretty much useless as it is.

Terrible collection app. Nothing like its excellent iPhone/Ipod counterpart. No option to edit information for individual movies, and movies can only be added via barcode. Often images and information are incorrect, and without the option to edit these, the app is useless. Maybe it will be more worthwhile when they update it to allow movie editing and selectively adding from the online database.

This is the worst movie collector program i had ever seen. You can only add buy barcode. You can not add a file. It is useless. Waste of money...

I wish you create movie list just by adding video file

This should not have been released yet. Wait until the next update. You should be able to log in with your user account from this application and be able to sync with what is backed up on the Web. I am not going to reenter all the data I scanned in from the iTouch app. I really like the iTouch app, but, I feel I have wasted $10 on this one.

So I spent a while getting all 215 movies into the iphone app.. I downloaded the mac store app which cost $10 (should have been free for iphone app pro users). I saved my movies to the txt file and emailed it. I imported it and it didnt even understand it. It was all messed up.. The website doesnt allow file export.. There is no sync capability. Now to make it worse.. It only shows I have 125 movies in my iphone app. I tried re-syncing and it then said I had 7. Terrible app. Terrible... Do not waste your money...

I feel that I wasted my money on this one. I saw the other bad reviews and thought that their situation did not apply to me. I hate this app for reasons not discussed in other reviews. Mainly the "what you see is what you get approach". After you get your movie scanned in, you have zero control over anything. You cant tweak the information or add to what is already there. It is basically set in stone. I understand that it mentions something about syncing to another program. I dont have that other program and shouldnt have to get it for this program to have full functionality. Also I had a lot of trouble figuring out what numbers to enter from the UPC. There is a top row of numbers, a bottom row of numbers, numbers off to the side, and dashes throughout. They should have a mock UPC at start up and indicate exactly which numbers to use and whether or not to include dashes. I tried to figure it out for an hour then gave up and ordered a scanner. Then I tried it the next day and got it to work, so I ordered the scanner for no good reason. I also had another thought. What if there is no UPC? Some movies come bundled together so the UPC would be for the package of movies. It seems like you should have the option of just entering the name of the movie and having it work that way. Anyway, to say the least, Im very disappointed.

Good price if you want to get in early. But very much a beta product at this version number (which probably should be v0.8. No easy way to pass information between the mac app, and the various iOS apps which would be the main reason for getting this app. Until there is full AND EASY syncing between apps this is an early days place holder where you are betting on the revision cycle being rapid and accurate. On the plus side, the interfaces of the ipad and iphone apps are attractive, but at this point only the iphone is all that useful in terms of data entry. Also is dependent on the depth of the propriatary data base to be able to add new titles easily. That also is in early days, as I was able to add some of my Japanese film collection, but even with Criterion disks, very little film information was pulled in. Can see lots of promise, but you need to be willing to accept the risks involved in that to bet on current version.

This app has a tone of potential. I really hope they get the sync feature figured out quick as this app is pointless without that sync feature. The current exporting from the iPhone app to import to this app does not work. Please hurry and release an update to this app that works with the website sync feature that already exists on the iPhone app.

I downloaded this app to sync with what i have up loaded from my Iphone to the Icollectmovies web site. It works BUT after five tries it only pulls down about 10% of my movie collection from the Icollectmovies web site. Based on this I have to say that at this point it was not worth the $9.99. The concept is a fine one but at this point would not spend the money. I did not read the other reviews until I was writing this and I have to agree that this should not have been released yet. Hope this gets fixed so it is not a complete waste of money.

All my movies synced. Theres sereval sorting options. Easy to scroll through my library. Much better than before.

Wish I had read the other reviews. This is little more than a place to list movies. You can only sort by the options they offer, and once you do apply a filter, Im having trouble finding out how to go back to the unfiltered list. And their sorting filters are far too limited. You cant sort by director or year or actor and theres no customization available. Nothing works very smoothly and Ive had several crashes using this newest version. I still prefer a basic spreadsheet.

its supposed to have the movies alphabetical, i get them alphabetical except for the 100 blank spots above the letter A, and i cant add by name only barcode some barcodes arent even in their database or they are specialized so you cant even enter them.

I just wrote a specific detailed review of the problems Im having with this and the iPhone app.. It didnt save.. NOt gonna try again. I give up. THIS WAS NOT WORTH 9.99. And the iPhone app deleted my 3000+ collection after the last update.

I feel like the Mac App does less than the iOS version for 4X the price! This one is buggy, and is formatted for a larger monitor than the 13" MacBook Pro that I have. I cant even size the window, so I cant see the bottom of the page! In the 1 day Ive had it Ive experienced freezing and the inability to sync to/from the website. I should also note that you may not get the most correct data when you scan barcodes using the iOS app, and there doesnt appear to be a way to correct the data using this app. Which would be nice since you have a full typewriter on your computer.

I bought this as a companion to my iPhone app and its terriable you can not do anything with it. Thought I would be able to brint out a list of my movies or at least export list CANT! Also unable to edit movie attributes. Preety much the pitts.

I bought the Movies, Books and Music versions. They worked great for a while. Then Hooked in Motion apparently merged with Sort It! Since then, I have not been able to add anything to any of the versions. I have gone to both websites and can not get any help whatsoever. I get an email saying contact Sort It!; but there is no way to find Customer Service. DONT BUY
